It's that time of year when we all look to make New Year's resolutions, but instead of something for the New Year, we prefer a plan for the year!

If you’re one of the people who see the words ‘prescription goggles’ and wondering what it is all about, then this article is for you.

When the sun eventually comes out, it is tempting to head to the beach, to a local pool, or even to the river, to enjoy the water and cool off. However, it is important to remember that although water is great fun for adults and children alike, it can be dangerous, especially for children that cannot swim.

The 18th – 26th June 2016 is Drowning Prevention Week - the national campaign organised by the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) to promote water safety messages.

Our optician James this morning talked about National Water Safety Week (6th-10th June) and prescription goggles on the radio with the Swimming Teachers' Association.

Running from 20th – 28th June 2015, Drowning Prevention Week is the national campaign run by the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) to promote water safety messages and help reduce incidents of drowning.
